Manifesto :
We are two artists working together as Bending Binding.
We explore leads outside our own personal practice to engage a dialogue and a reflexion through the making of new works as a duo.
Our work is often to be presented in traditionnal ways but also in more unconventional media forms such as : neon, resin, candy, car radiators, propellers, plastic, streams, circulation, fluids and so worth.
We mimick and deconstruct forms and materials available in the present time and translate them into a fantasized future where the relics of a polluted and overproductive world would become the strange and rare matter to creation.
We focus on objects and concepts which symbolically resonate with today’s problematics : spanning media ecology, global warming, natural disasters, and globalized culture.
We want to address the present throughout contemporary materials reinterpreted into reminiscences from the past by actions claiming a form of Art Brut from a future generation.
We are the ambassadors, or the futurologists of yet to name future contemporary art.
